Seems like a lot of things happened since my last post. Maybe that's because it was almost five months between journal entries and three months between submitting art. Who's counting?
The biggest thing by far for this hole in the wall on DeviantArt was my being invited to join a group. MLP:FiM Fan Artists thought I was cool enough for them to hang out, so I came aboard! It really spiked my page views. Sure the count doesn't look very impressive up there, but I notice these things! And if "Applejack: Dino Rancher" is any indication at least a few of you seem to like at least some of my work. Thanks everypony... and people too, I guess.

I have come out from under the burden of obligation and am now free to continue exploring illustrations that I am inspired to put to paper.
I will never again agree to draw anything for someone that asks with nothing in return. Any future "You owe me a drawing 'cause you said so" will be denied. This last one killed what was a rolling motivation to do what I really enjoy and feel good about it. No more.
Once these rusty gears get going again there will be ponies. There. Will. Be. Ponies!

There has been nothing I would have liked more than to finish and post something new here on my page for the last few months. But try as I might this latest piece I've been trying has me in the doldrums with no wind left in my sails. I remember now why I stopped taking requests from friends to draw something for them. The worst part is it's not even Pony related.
I've effectively killed my inspiration to draw by not having a statute of limitations on my request agreements. I think now that 7 years should be too long a time for someone to call in a "You still owe me a drawing" based on passing conversation and no currency or favors exchanged.
